EYP Talk - Your voice on Europe's future. This is the online forum of the European Youth Parliament in the UK.

Comment from Minister for Europe, Rt. Hon Geoff Hoon MP

“I am delighted that so many of you have taken part in the European Youth Parliament’s online forum. Reading your thoughtful, well-informed comments has given me renewed confidence for the future, a future which will be shaped by you, the decision-makers of tomorrow.

“I encourage you to continue to get involved and make your voice heard. From writing to your MP or MEP, writing to the European Commission, or joining organisations that campaign on the issues you care about, there are lots of ways you can make a difference.

“I also hope that you have enjoyed the experience of communicating with other young people across Europe. Europe offers us a wealth of opportunities: to travel, to study, to work, to share different cultures and perspectives. These opportunities are right on our doorstep.

“I hope you will continue to explore and talk about Europe.”

Minister for Europe, Rt. Hon Geoff Hoon MP

About the EYP

The European Youth Parliament (EYP) is about bringing young people across Europe together to share ideas and experiences in a positive, practical environment. Through the EYP you can connect with other young people in over 33 countries across Europe and get involved in regional, national and international events. EYP in the UK organises 14 regional events and an Outreach scheme that you can become a part of.

This forum is supported by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. It is also one of a series of online projects being assessed by the Hansard Society.

The Hansard Society is an independent charity that works to promote effective parliamentary democracy. The Hansard Society would appreciate users taking the time to fill out an entry survey when you start using the site and a feedback survey at the end (you need to be logged in to do both). The surveys are about your views on taking part in politics and using technology, and will be used to make recommendations to politicians on how to better connect with the public.
